About Kid Sense

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Kid Sense Child Development is a private provider of multidisciplinary Paediatric services to children with developmental challenges in their movement, play, language, learning and behaviour.

Founded by Joanna Buttfield in 1998, Kid Sense operates from a purpose-built Child Development Centre at 90 Unley Road, Unley, South Australia, just 5 minutes South of Adelaide’s CBD.

Our Purpose: Kid Sense helps children overcome personal & physical developmental challenges and learning frustrations that can otherwise prevent them from functioning optimally, independently and confidently in a peer setting.

Motto: "Helping children overcome developmental challenges in movement, play, language, learning and behaviour since 1998".

Range of Services: Working closely with parents, teachers and other medical & health professionals, our Paediatric team provides Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology services to children with developmental challenges.

Benefits: Since starting our business in 1998, the lives of thousands of South Australians have been positively benefited - many for life. The 'ripple effect' of the work of Kid Sense reaches thousands more, as the daily lives of parents, siblings and the wider family, carers, teachers, school mates and friends are all impacted by the improvements made in the behaviours and abilities of a single child.

Vision: "Creating the most trusted brand in child development, globally".

Core Values: Clarity of Vision; Integrity of Purpose; Strategic Persistence.

Mission: Operating in a profitable & sustainable manner, our Mission is to be recognised as the preferred provider of private, premium-quality, centre-based, multidisciplinary Paediatric development services in Australia.

Goal: With our Unley Centre as our prototype, our Goal is to replicate and expand our business model, developing a portfolio of purpose-built Kid Sense Child Development Centres across Australia and New Zealand.
