Kid Sense Physiotherapy is focused on helping children to overcome developmental challenges in movement.
Physiotherapy helps children develop their physical balance that is crucial for co-ordination skills - running, jumping, catching and throwing.
Physiotherapy also addresses strength and endurance which are necessary for coordination as well as being able to sustain physical play or even sitting upright at a desk for the full school day. Different skills are required at different ages and stages, as well as in different situations (e.g. navigating the tight school classroom without falling over versus playing team sports on the sports field).
Paediatric Physiotherapy addresses the building blocks required for coordination before being able to develop the actual coordination skills themselves. While ‘Therapy’ is clinic-based, the focus is on establishing fun activities, particularly in the home environment.
